An evening with Caroline Bottomley - Founder of Shiny Awards

About

On 14th October at 6:30 pm, you will have the opportunity to meet Caroline Bottomley - founder of Shiny Awards and Radar Music Videos, One of Pitch magazine's 100 Superwomen, multi-aware-winning in TV production.

She was also the Head of Programming who is behind the success of a legendary Sheffield venue - The Leadmill - during the golden days. Shiny Awards was formed by Caroline - aiming to give the best start to new directors building a career in commercial production. Shiny's network spans hundreds of APA & AICP production companies, and agencies & brands including Universal, Sony, Warners, BBC, GiffGaff, ENGINE, M&C Saatchi, Facebook, and so on. In the event, Caroline will share about Shiny, its successes and show recent works from new directors promoted through Shiny to leading commercial agencies. She will also discuss with a Creative Director from a leading Advertising agency in the North how the commercial production industry works outside London and what they look for from freelancers; directors and designers that they hire to direct. This session will offer a unique insight to any emerging filmmakers and designers. The evening will start at Aria Bar, where you can enjoy a free pre-event cocktail with your ticket, followed by sharing from Caroline and the Questions & Answers session. The event is launched by Angel Street Kinema, a monthly pop-up cinema where the audience can meet global, and local, film producers, writers and directors.
