#Alvestock is a new music festival taking place on the 23rd and 24th September 2023 in the Oxfordshire village of Alvescot. #Alvestock brings together international artists alongside the best local music talent at a fun-filled musical weekend in the beautiful Cotswolds countryside.
#Alvestock was originally planning to take place in July 2023 but was unfortunately postponed due to the severe wind speed and yellow weather warning from the Met Office. Undeterred, #Alvestock has come back bigger and better with new acts on both Saturday and Sunday as well as new food vendors and other exciting stalls.
On Saturday, dance all day to a mix amazing music from Keith Fairbairn's Cubano Soul band, Emily Avery, Doctor Robert, The Original Coffindodgers, Libby T, Four Times Indie, finishing with headline act, The Entitled Sons, consisting of brothers Billy, Charlie, Rafferty, Laurie and their father, Graham Swift. Who debuted at Glastonbury this year, showcasing a song about their mother, Sarah Beeny.
On Sunday, chill on a late summer's afternoon with music from The Sundance, Rue, Gala Tent Band, The Kokroachez, Bob Bowls and a ska band finale to round off the weekend, from Hope and Glory, and even more acts to be announced.
Alongside the music, there will be a selection of activities like face painting, hair braiding and massage treatments as well as amazing food stalls and bars, including Wood's Gin, and Jeremy Clarkson's Hawkstone Brewery.
#Alvestock is a not-for-profit event that will raise much needed funds for repairs and conservation for St Peter's Church In Alvescot. St Peter's Church is nearly a thousand years old and is a Grade II* listed National Heritage Building beloved as a community centre for all the village. 12 months ago major problems were discovered with the roof beams, making it structurally unsafe and it had to be closed. #Alvestock is one of many projects and events organised to raise funds for the restoration.
Tickets for #Alvestock are on sale now at www.Alvestock.co.uk.
