We are delighted to announce that the Agatha Christie Sea Swim will be returning for 2024 and that this year's one-mile route will be between Broadsands Beach and Goodrington Sands. Tickets will be going on sale soon.
This unique event celebrates Agatha Christie’s love of sea swimming, by taking participants on a one mile ‘sightseeing swim’ between two of her favourite beaches. Participants are encouraged not to race, but to enjoy the scenery, whilst raising money for Rowcroft Hospice.
Full safety support is being provided, while the event is open to all strong swimmers over the age of 18, who can comfortably swim a mile.
We will leave from Broadsands Beach, where Agatha would enjoy swimming with her grandson Mathew when enjoying summer holidays at Greenway. We would highly recommend the walk over to Elberry Cove ( where a body was found in the ABC Murders) before the start of the swim.
Starting at Broadsands, the route will take people past Shell Cove, Armchair Rock and Saltern Cove, finishing off at Goodrington. Participants are encouraged not to race, but to enjoy the scenery, whilst raising money for Rowcroft Hospice.
The event finishes at Goodrington Sands, where there is a shower, toilets and the fantastic Cantina, where we can all socialise after. All participants will also receive a souvenir reward at the cafe following the event.
Tickets are £30 including full event support and insurance, souvenir swim hat and a unique branded prize for completing the swim. This event is being run by volunteers with all proceeds being donated to Rowcroft Hospice and the Agatha Christie Festival Charity.
Tickets on sale soon.
