Bath Festivals have announced a series of events throughout the Christmas season in the city.

Bath and North East Somerset Council, Bath BID, Visit Bath and Bath Festivals have all teamed up to run a festive programme of events from 27th November to 20th December. All events are being planned following government guidelines.

Some of the city’s most iconic buildings will be illuminated and the Bath Christmas Market, which will be taking place virtually, will be represented by 12 chalets dotted around the city centre selling locally made gifts and treats, the same amount that came together to form the very first market in 2000. A number of stages, featuring local performers will also be set up around the city providing open air entertainment.

The first weekend will be in partnership with The Holburne Museum and the Forum, two of the city’s biggest venues.

Some of the events planned include a live gig by Seth Lakeman, talks from authors David Baddiel and Grayson Perry and music from Bath Festival Orchestra. The programme will also feature walkabouts from Bath Carnival and ArtSeen, plus Bath Philharmonia alongside screenings of the Snowman and a whole host of other festive events.
