While many cafes and tearooms have had their plans for National Cream Tea Day thawarted it doesn’t mean you have to miss out on this incredible celebration of a British classic – especially because the organisers are taking it online!

National Cream Tea Day is all about sharing the love of cream tea together and as we’re unable to do that physically at the moment, there are plans in place to do it virtually using the new online resources available from the Cream Tea Society.

National Cream Tea Day takes place on Friday, 26th June and looks to be the largest online gathering of cream tea lovers ever. The event is organised by the Cream Tea Society which was founded by Rodda’s Cornish Clotted Cream and Wilkin and Son Tiptree. They are calling on the Great British public to come together from the comfort of their own homes to enjoy this indulgent, British treat. Over the years, National Cream Tea Day has worked to raise thousands of pounds for charities all over the UK and just because we can’t get together at our favourite cafes and tea rooms doesn’t meant that has to stop! So, whether you plan to sit in your favourite chair and indulge or you set up your webcam and get all your friends to join in, with the online packs, you can get involved however you want to!

How do you like your cream tea? Let us know on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!
