In Events

There’s plenty to do in the month of April, between Easter and all the fun planned for English Tourism Week, you won’t be short of things to do during the school holidays. If you need a little inspiration though, here’s a selection of events taking place throughout the month for you to enjoy.

1st April

If you’re a fan of the spring and love the emerging flowers, make sure to schedule in a trip to the Annual Tulip Festival in Arundel, Sussex. The event runs from the 1st through to the 30th, so you have plenty of chance to visit.

The Birmingham Royal Ballet’s performance of Swan Lake is running through April in Plymouth.

Cabaret is being performed at the Regent Theatre in Stoke on Trent from the 1st until the 4th April.

2nd April

Get a head start on the Easter Festivities in Torquay with the Easter Holidays Egg Hunt  which is running until 16th April.

Foster and Allen’s tour comes to the Prince of Wales Theatre in Staffordshire.

Gin fans will love Gin O’Clock at Blackfriears Cookery School in Newcastle.

Josh Widdicombe is on tour and is bringing his show to Weston-super-Mare.

4th April

The Cadbury Easter Egg Hunts at National Trust properties begins now and goes on throughout the month.

Chocolate eggs not enough? Head to the Chocolate Festival in Essex which runs on the 4th and 5th.

Easter Adventure Quest at Dover Castle runs from the 4th to the 19th April.

6th April

The Planetarium series hosted by We the Curious in Bristol is returning over several dates in April.

Once the Musical is touring this month, catch it at the Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham until 11th April.

The Who are returning to the limelight, they have a show at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool.

7th April

Epic musical Les Miserables is returning to the Bristol Hippodrome through to May.

Enjoy the spring flowers at the Daffodil Show at RHS Garden Wisley.

9th April

Catch the Pussy Cat Dolls on Tour, they’re appearing at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham .

11th April

The Maidstone Tattoo Extravaganza returns for the fourth year running.

12th April

Music legend Snoop Dogg is on tour  - he’s performing in Manchester.

16th April

Taking place at various venues throughout Cheltenham from the 16th until 25th April is the Cheltenham Poetry Festival.

17th April

West-End hit Everybody’s Talking about Jamie is touring this year, the run kicks off in Nottingham running until 25th April.

24th April

Celebrate World Penguin Day with a host of activities at Living Coasts in Torquay. 

26th April
 

After some time off, McFly are heading out on the road throughout the end of April and May. They’re appearing at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool.

28th April

Join the Shires in Torquay

30th April

Legally Blonde the Musical at the Paul McCartney Auditorium in Liverpool.
