As far as destinations go for the LGBTQA+ community, London is pretty much up there alongside Manchester and Brighton. If you’re already pretty savvy with the best gay night spots, you’ll know that Soho in London’s West End is a great place to start. This is where most Pride celebrations in London end, so head over to Old Compton Street and start exploring. This is where you’ll find some of London’s most famous theatres and exclusive restaurants, as well as night clubs and pubs.
G-A-Y can be found in Old Compton Street and regularly holds events, gigs and club nights. You also should head to Compton’s which is known as the Grand Dame of Queer Street, it’s one of London’s oldest gay pubs. Don’t limit yourself just to the many establishments of Soho, make sure to also go to the east end. Shoreditch has many amazing pubs, bars and restaurants offering a fabulous time, in fact, Madonna once hosted a birthday party in one of Shoreditch’s great gay bars.
The south of London has you covered too. Vauxhall is home to some of the older bars and clubs where you’ll have a more relaxed night out. Many of the establishments in this part of town welcome a more mature crowd and offer somewhere you and your friends can go and socialise and chat as well as places to dance, giving you the best of both worlds.
