The people have spoken and rated their favourite destinations to visit in 2019 with England’s capital coming out on top beating competition from Paris, Marrakech and Bali, the North of England and places in Scotland were also in the top rated destinations.

According to the 2019 Traveller’s Choice Awards hosted by TripAdvisor, London has been named the best rated destination to visit in 2019, up from second place in 2018.

Apparently, the surge in popularity is all down to Harry and Meghan’s wedding and baby news as a number of Royal themed events and tours are gaining in popularity on the site. While London came out on top, the North of England and Scotland also dominated the top of the list.

TripAdvisor users declared Edinburgh as their second top rated holiday desintations in the UK for the coming year and Liverpool came in third, with Glasgow and Belfast rounding out the top five. 
Sixth place went to the city of Bath and the final place on the list is Jersey in the Channel Islands.
