We know, the year that Glastonbury isn't on always leaves us at a bit of a loss too, but there are plenty of other festivals happening across the UK to keep you entertained, there are even some that are family friendly and feature your kid's favourite artists - take a look at our list to find out more!

Name: Lovebox
Location: Gunnersbury Park, London
When: 13th-14th July
This weekend long festival held in London’s Gunnersbury Park features music from every genre you can think of as well as circus performers and cabaret acts. Think Glastonbury on a much smaller scale – there’s even a roller disco which you might want to check out but maybe before you get a little too into the alcohol on offer.
This year you’ll get to see Childish Gambino and NERD as headliners, so don’t hestitate to get your tickets!

Name: Bestival
Location: Isle of Wight
When: 2-5th August
Always trust a festival that takes place in proper summer where it’s more likely you’ll come away with sun burn than soaking wet. Bestival is a fun and eccentric festival with world leading acts from around the world, there’s even a chance to catch the world’s largest disco ball, so if that isn’t worth the visit, I don’t know what is.

Name: Reading and Leeds Festival
Location: Little John’s Farm (Reading) and Bramham Park (Leeds)
When: 24-26th August.
Reading and Leeds are the festivals to go to if you are a fan of music in general. You’ll get a great mix of genres for your money. Both have identical lineups, with acts swapping days across both of then, so you only need to go to the one nearest to you. This year’s acts include Fall Out Boy, Kendrick Lamar, Panic! Name: Rize Festival
Location: Hylands Park (Chelmsford) and Weston Park (Staffordshire)
When: 17th – 18th August
Formerly known as V festival, this is one of the top choices to replace Glastonbury this year. Virgin has ended its sponsorship of the event, but it has been too popular to disappear completely. The event has four stages, street food and craft beer to enjoy. This year you can catch Liam Gallagher, Stereophonics, James Bay, Bastille, Rita Ora and more.

Name: Creamfields
Location: Warrington
When: 23-26 August
Fancy seeing TV hardman Idris Elba on stage banging out the tunes? Then grab tickets to this year’s Creamfields Festival, the UK’s best summer dance festival promising the biggest acts in EDM, House, Trance, Grime and DnB. This year Idris Elba is joining the line up and is on the bill with The Chainsmokers, Tiesto, Fatboy Slim and a whole host more famous names. Tickets are available here.

Name: Broadmasters
Location: Newquay
When: 8-12th August
Going to the beach is awesome, going to festivals is awesome, do you know what is even better? Blending the two! At Broadmasters, you can mix surfers and skaters with amazing music including cliff-top sessions and surf shack shows with amazing views of the Cornish coast.
This year you can catch George Ezra, Catfish and the Bottlemen and the Chemical Brothers. Tickets here.

Name: Camp Bestival
Location: Lulworth Cove
When: 26-29th July
Much like its sister festival, Bestival, this offers the same novelty, full of fun and silliness but with a more family friendly atmosphere. Camp Bestival takes place in a beautiful English castle and features everyone from popstars like Clean Bandit, to poets and children’s entertainers, like Mr Tumble.

Name: Green Man Festival
Location: Brecon Beacons
When: 16-19th August
If you’re holidaying in Wales this summer be sure to check out the Green Man Festival, you’ll can’t fail to be impressed by the beautiful backdrop of the Brecon Beacons as you enjoy over 1,500 different performers from all across the creative arts. This year you can enjoy Fleet Foxes as a main headliner, plus there are spas and therapies in the local area for when you need a spot of post festival relaxation! Find tickets here.

Name: Wilderness
Location: Oxfordshire
When: 2-5th August
If you love nature, food and music, this is the festival for you. There are gourmet meals abound at this festival, which can be enjoyed in a banquet style – how’s that for excitement! You’ll also get to enjoy some amazing music and art performances, plus talks and debates with guests such as Bastille and jazz music presented by Ronnie Scott.

Name: End of the Road
Where: Larmer Tree Gardens, Dorset
When: 30th August- 2nd September
The setting of the Larmer Tree Gardens is perfect for this wonderfully magical little festival. The fairy-lit clearings in the woods make the whole thing more mystical and there is always a reliable line up of great indie and folk musicians as well as comedy performances. You can catch acts such as Vampire Weekend and St Vincent at this year’s festival, plus the comedy stage is featuring The Bugle, the satirical podcast, for the first time.
