About

The Comedy Loft offers the best locally sourced comedians for guilt free laughs. A fun stand-up comedy night with a variety of experienced and hilarious acts where there's always something for everyone. Entry is free, you only pay for what the night is worth. So if the night is awful, you don't have to pay. If it's decent, a blank cheque will do! This is how confident Comedy Loft are that you'll have a good time and laugh your cheeky faces off at the acts - no win, no fee.

No two nights are the same at the Comedy Loft, every line up is unique and hand picked from the best of the thriving local comedy scene. In the past there has been guitars balancing on chins, powerpoint catchphrase and an alternative Springwatch theme tune all sandwiched in between jokes and stand-up not out of place at top Edinburgh Festival shows. Bristol has a great comedy scene that not enough people know about. Here, the best acts from this scene get a great room with an electric atmosphere to perform at, and in return they give you a great laugh. Whether you're a Bristol native or a pirate passing through - you're promised a great night.

Hosted on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, head upstairs at The Famous Royal Navy Volunteer in the middle of rowdy King St in the centre of the city. Even if you hate the show (which you won't) you can enjoy one of the pub's locally brewed craft ales. If you like the show, drinking many of these will make it funnier!

For a lot of people Comedy Loft is their first taste of live comedy after watching stand up on the telly. They sit amazed and rich as they realise they don't have to pay £30 a ticket for laughs. So if you enjoy TV comedy and have never been to see stand-up live, it's the ideal night for you to dip your toe into the fun world of live comedy. But similarly if you're a comedy geek and used to getting live chuckles on the regular, there will be some unique acts that'll perform live surgery on your funny bone.

What sets Comedy Loft apart from other nights in Bristol is the atmosphere. Experience it for yourself, if you don't think the same thing then you get your money back. Let's be honest, what else are you going to do on a Tuesday night? For the best of the South West's comedy scene come down and join Comedy Loft for an alternative night of laughs.
